hallway‘Revision means throwing out the boring crap and making what’s left sound natural.’ – Laure Halse Anderson –

This weekend I started working on the piece of writing that I intend to submit at the end of the month. I fell into every trap that I have mentioned in this blog and that I swore I would overcome; I hesitated rather than push through to get the whole idea down, I started editing before I even had the thought finished (and then promptly forgot where I was headed), and I started getting frustrated at the content before it even entered first draft stage.

Revision is a writer’s best friend. Revision can make anything into gold. Revision is not even possible until you get the entire thing down.

Spend some time today just putting down some words.
